THE EYE OF TIME (SHORT POEM)

All exist within the all seeing eye of time.
Within it’s gaze, Empires become rubble.
Oceans diminish becoming nothing but
Puddles. A million lifetimes within a blink of
It’s eye and yet even shorter lived, are our woes
and our troubles.
Yesterday’s tears will always be transmuted
into tomorrows songs. Darkest nights countered
by the most brilliant dawns.

Times eye looks deeply into forever.

All exist within the all seeing eye of time.
From four legs we walk in the morning,
then two legs at noon, to three legs at evening
as our finale comes calling always too soon.
Death is not the predator we have always feared.
It is time that can make any monarch a memory
and civilizations disappear.
Time is forever. Never ending. Absolute.
It continues. As it does, so do we.
