I Communed with a Goddess that is like my spiritual mother. She has many names. In Palo Mayombe (An ancient African religion born in the Congo.), she is known as Centelle Ndoki. She is an African Amazon. Warrior, Goddess, ruler of Storms, meteors (falling stars or fire from the sky), lightening, thunder, the dead, necromancy, witchcraft, magic, war, the gates of the cemetery and the controller of death. She governs other things too, but that's a secret.
She told me many things that hurt but healed at the same time.
"People these days look for miracles with their eyes closed. They ache for love with a closed heart. They blame their neighbors for sins they themselves commit and wash themselves clean from guilt, while giving their dirty water too others, to drink. This is not the way.
Many want money because they feel that this will make them happy forgetting that when they had money, it lead them to the very point where they are asking for more. Money doesn't make you happy. Money makes you want more money because money makes you need more money. Money isn't love. It isn't a hug from someone you can never hug again. It isn't the swell of pride when you have accomplished an incredible feat. It isn't the validation you get when you have changed the world for someone, you can't live without. Money isn't the feeling you get when the person you have given your heart too, gives you theirs. Some believe happiness is bills that are paid. You know what happens when you pay bills? The arrival of new ones. This is your world. The human world. Human rules created by humans. Created by you. This is not the way.
Remember who you are. You are not your skin color. You are not the money you think will make you happy. You are not your hair style, your clothes, your job or lack thereof. You are so much more. You are the reason another is alive. You are the thread to another's tapestry and without you, it would fray and fall apart. You are part of a bigger picture and others are a part of yours. You heal the world just by getting up in the morning. Not because you have money or because you haven't any but because you are simply you. You are more than what you think you are.
You are someone's miracle. You are both the spear and the shield. Love with your heart open to receive the love that is given. Forgive your sins so you can forgive the sins of others. This way you do not judge yourself or others. Judging others means you're guilty of something. Before you wage war with life and the lives of others, the first war that needs to be fought and won, is with yourself. Yourself, your past, your regrets, your victims, your guilt, your shame, your anger and your loss. Once these battles have been dealt with, you'll find you have no quarrel with anyone. The only enemy worthy of facing, is you."- Centelle Ndoki
