I have, elected to alter The Lesser Banishing Ritual Of The
Pentagram (LBRP) by adding to it the directions of “ABOVE”, “BELOW”, “WITHIN” and
the “UNIVERSE” as an all-encompassing direction itself. and also by adding the
corresponding names of GOD and Archangels. For the above direction I selected
the Archangel Metatron who is one of the Highest Archangel’s and leader of the
Order of the Chiaoth Ha’ Qodesh or Holy Living Creatures. He is also within
another angelic order which is called the Malak Ha’ Panim or “The Crown or
Presence of GOD” which denotes their relationship with not only GOD but Kether
which is often seen as the crown of God and is the first sephira on the tree of
life. The corresponding Archangel for the direction of below is designated to
Sandalphon Malkuthiel who is the Archangel of Malkuth which is the last sephira
on the tree of life and lends a physicalizing component to the banishing ritual.
For the direction of within, I selected no archangel because there should be no
entity within you but you. This direction should be an opening to activate and
awaken your higher divine self, that part of you that is an integral piece of
that higher entity we call GOD. For the
Universal I direction, I have designated Archangel’s Kassiel and Mevamiah. These
Angels are keepers of times, space, distance, matter, light, dark, death and
life and as such have an intimate knowledge of the universe and our role within
it. I have also incorporated Adam Kadmon, the first man or human who is closely
associated with Kether, to the
direction of within. This energy is Adam before the fall and exile from Eden.
This means the “Adam Kadmon” or “Adama Kadmoni” energy, is the energy of an
ascended human or perfected human, in the sense that our natural state is to be
in perfect harmony with the Universe, the light and GOD and we are now evolving
to become what we once were or rather, what we really are. I also changed the
visualization of the Archangel Michael from Right to Left because if I am
facing East ward, the North (The direction that the Archangel Michael governs.)
would be to my left. It is the Archangel Uriel who would be to my Right in the
South. I also name the Archangels by their complete names to keep the ritual as
formal as possible. I find that the
minor alterations that I made, empowers my ritual work in terms of the
manifestation and the longevity of the energies conjured and invoked. I altered
the LBRP to not only banish but to assist in transcending, the physical, spiritualizing
the mind and body, communing with the God, the Angels and the Universe itself,
to merge with the five flames of transmutation and the limitless light as well
as to facilitate spiritual evolution and ascension.
GRIMOIRE’S LESSER
BANISHING RITUAL OF THE PENTAGRAM
Facing East, use
the index finger of the right hand, a dagger /Athame, or the black end of the
outer wand of double power to trace a large banishing pentagram of earth in the
air directly in front of you. Then thrust your index finger, dagger / Athame or
wand through the center of the pentagram to charge the symbol and chant /
vibrate the word “YHVH” (YODE-HEH-VAH
HEH). (The pentagram should be visualized as a flaming VIOLET or brilliant
WHITE light.)
Turn the South.
Trace the same pentagram, charge it in the same manner and chant / vibrate the
word “ADONAI” (AH-DOH-NYE).
Turn to the West.
Trace the same pentagram, charge it in the same manner and chant / vibrate the
word “EHEIEH” (EH-HEY-YAY).
Turn to the North.
Trace the same pentagram, charge it in the same manner and chant / vibrate the
word “AGLA” (AH-GAH-LAH=Adonai Gloriam
Leolam Adonai=Lord, Glory, Forever, Lord).
Turn to face the east
again and Look above you. Trace the same pentagram above your head, charge
it in the same manner and chant / vibrate the word “MALAK HA’ PANIM” (MAH-LACK-HA-PAW-NEEM=The Crown of GOD, The Angelic
Order of Angels that are the heralds of his presence.).
Remain facing the
east and Look below you. Trace the same pentagram below you, just before
your feet, charge it in the same manner and chant / vibrate the word “ADONAI
MELECH” (AH-DOE-NYE, MEH-LECH=Lord of Kings). The "CH" is a guttural sound as in the German "ach"
or the Scottish "loch").
Remain facing the
east and close your eye to Look within yourself. Trace the pentagram
over your chest area and touch the center of the Pentagram and chant / vibrate the
words “ADAMA HA KADMONI” (AWE-DAW-MAW, HAW-KAWD-MOAN-NEE=the
first Adam or human created before the fall of man and banishment from Eden. The
First Adam is a symbol of the Union between the Creator and Humanity reminding
us of our original and inherent divinity, divinity and GOD being the Universe.).
Remain facing the
east and with your eyes closed visualize the living Universe all around you.
Trace the same pentagram above your head, charge it in the same manner and
chant / vibrate the words “QODOSH CHAI
TETRAGRAMMATON” (KO-DAWSH-HIGH- TET-TRAH-GRAM-MAH-TONE=Holy living GOD of power
or Mighty GOD. Tettragramaton is actually a Greek word meaning four lettered
name which in Kabbalah always meant and still means, YOD HE VAV HE, YHVH or Jehovah.)
Keep your right arm extended.
Facing the EAST. Extend
both arms now outward in the form of a cross and say “Before me, Archangel Raphael
Ruachel (RAH-FAY-EL ROO-AH-CHEL).” (The "CH" is a guttural
sound as in the German "ach" or the Scottish "loch").
Feel the wind and air come towards you as you visualize the great Archangel
of air, mercury and healing draped in flowing Yellow and violet Robes carrying
a Caduceus Wand.
Turn clock wise, to your Right (SOUTH) visualize another figure that rises up
from the vegetation of the earth in robes of citrine, olive, russet and black
holding stems of ripened wheat. Then say “Before
me, Archangel Uriel Aretziel. (YOU-REE-EL, AH-RET-SEE-EL).”
Turn clock wise, to your right facing
(WEST) visualize another figure and say “Behind me Archangel Gabriel
Levanael (GAH-BREE-EL, LEH-VAH-NAY-EL).” Feel the water and moisture in
the air as you visualize Gabriel stepping out of the Sea clad in robes of blue
and Orange with a chalice in hand.
Turn clockwise to
your right facing the (NORTH) visualize another figure in flaming red and
green robes with a gleaming sword and say “To my Left hand, the Archangel Michael
Shemeshel (MEE-CHAY-EL, SHEH-MESH-EL).” (The
"CH" is a guttural sound as in the German "ach" or the
Scottish "loch").
Turn clock wise, returning to the East and
look Above you, visualize another figure who clad in blazing white
opalescent Light robes with a book in hand and say “Before me, The Archangel
Metatron Ketheriel (MEH-TAH-TROHN, KETH-EE-REE-EL).”
Continue to face the
East and look below you, visualize another figure draped in brilliant gold
and light brown robes surrounded by cornucopia horns crowned with grape leaves
then say “Before me, The Archangel Sandalphon Malkuthiel” (SAHN-DOLL-FAWN,
MAHL-KOOTH-EE-EL).
Continue to face the
East and close your eyes looking within you, visualize a violet flame in
the form a burning sphere within you and around you, hold this image, then
shift the color of this flame to strong silver and hold it this image. Now
shift the color of this flame to a brilliant shimmering golden flame and hold
this image. Then shift the color of this flame to a deep emerald, holding the fiery
spherical shape throughout the shifting of colors. Lastly, Shift the color to a
deep sapphire and hold. Now visualize a brilliant white fire and say “Within me, the eternal light of my Divine
soul which is part of GOD.”
Continue to face the
East and close your eyes; visualize the living universe and two shining figures
whose robes look like a starry night sky. One holding an hour glass and the
other a scale then say “Within the
Universe and before me, the Archangels Kassiel (KAS-SEE-EL), the Great one of
the night of time and Mevamiah (MEV-VA-MEE-YAH), the end of the universe.”
Visualize a great sphere of white light surrounding you and
the powers you have summoned coming directly from the Universe into you and
say, “For
about me flames the pentagram, and in the column shines the eight rayed star.”
